Monday, March 25
Opener: Review The Night Circus reading schedule and study guide; read chapters 1-2 and identify elements of exposition (characters, setting, conflict).
Work Session: 
  1. Reading Quiz over Act II of The Tempest
  2. Compose an exposition Art & Reading ppt. EOC narrative review of STEAL elements and narrative structure; revisit punctuating dialogue correctly.
Closer: Share narrative expositions, reviewing STEAL elements, narrative structure, and punctuating dialogue.
HOMEWORK: USA Test Prep due Thursday. Keep up with your reading schedule for The Night Circus; third set of ZINC due April 9th.


Tuesday, March 26
Opener: Review elements of exposition; summarize the exposition of The Tempest.
Work Session:
  1. Read The Tempest Act II Scene 2; complete scholar’s journal entry for Act II.
Closer: View The Tempest and analyze film and text variations

Wednesday, March 27
Opener: Review Acts I and II of The Tempest; complete “Somebody Wanted But So” statements to identify conflict and characters’ motivations.
Work Session:
  1. Analyze the evolution of Miranda & Ferdinand’s relationship in  3.1.
  2. Analyze comedy in 3.2.
  3. Analyze 3.3 for developing conflict with Alonso, Antonio, & Sebastian; focus on Gonzalo’s character.
  4. Compare/contrast film adaptation with Shakespeare’s text.
Closer: Complete scholar’s journals.

Thursday, March 28
Opener: Review scholar’s journal and research requirements.
